Spiritual Life in the Future

No religion. Any beliefs are considered as a preliminary stage of spiritual development, always transitory and never institutionalized.

People well know that there is nothing except the developing world, and the material and the ideal are the aspects of the same integrity. There can be no exaggeration of the material or the ideal side of the world, and people are not afraid to use both crude materialistic and religious metaphors to stress certain attitude, with complete confidence that the others will properly understand that.

No rigid (institutionalized) distinction between art, science and philosophy. Creativity for everybody. Everyday life of the people is saturated by all kinds of creativity, while any kind creativity, however abstract) is always oriented to the people's practical needs.

Any kind of creativity is socially acceptable, and there are no restrictions on its forms, or censorship of any kind. It is always meant that people are reasonable enough to understand the consequences of their acts.

The development of ever more efficient ways of satisfying the organic needs will leave more time for creativity. No obligatory work, no work days or work hours. People's ability to switch to any occupation at any moment without the risk of economic or social disturbance.

Public discussion of any suggestion by those who is interested in that, using the global information network.

Decisions are made by those whose interests are affected by the problem. No polling, no referendums. Neither minority can dictate its will to the majority of the people, nor majority can suppress the will of the minority. All the decisions will be made by common consent; otherwise they cannot be considered sound enough.

There must exist a special network dedicated to the new ideas and projects of any kind; any mentioning of individual authoring is utterly unacceptable. Everybody can contribute an idea, either new or a version of the already published thought. Everybody is free to participate in in any project concerning any side of life or reflection.

Free access to any information or experience. Everybody has right and possibility to learn everything, and become an expert. No spiritual authorities. No criticism. Exigency to one's own words and acts.

No professions, and professional castes of artists, scientists or philosophers. No honorary titles, scientific degrees, certification etc. People do not waste their time on getting formal permission to do something; they just do it, trying to learn as much as possible to get the necessary knowledge and skills. Free training and self-education is accessible to everybody.

Everything is made to prevent any artificial obstacles in any enterprise.

The society has enough resource to allow people just try things to select the optimal solution. People are reasonable enough to weigh their attempts before act and never do anything too risky or uncertain.

Education will be universal, to develop common skills, practical directions and training in reflection of any kind, including arts, science and philosophy. No specialization, individually adapted courses.

Permanent learning and self-education. No physiological, economical or social limitations.

No age differentiation. Competence is never linked to the age.

The habit of thought and investigation will be acquired in the early childhood.

Computers will collaborate with humans in producing new knowledge from the already existing. The processing of knowledge contained in the global network system will be going on automatically without the necessity of directing it by humans. However, humans will sometimes add new logic to this processing, or experiences obtained through other channels.

Studying history, people are interested in the development of culture, both material and spiritual, rather than mere chronology of events. The life of the ruling classes is of much less importance than the state of the productive classes and their creativity. The history of ideas is more important than the stories of individuals, however eminent.
